service for social media and medical assistance is looking for a motivated
and experienced programmer to join our team. You will work mainly on web
initiatives for YGHH and improve on our current foundation. The ideal
candidate will not only continue development on the CMS, but also explore
the possibility of moving away from a CMS platform; regular brainstorming
sessions will be held where issues such as navigation, content layout and
application usefulness will be topics for discussion.
Tasks
- Develop and extend Drupal modules.
- Determine if models can be written for independence from the CMS.
- Develop and maintain database schema for use throughout the site.
Requirements
- In depth knowledge of Drupal CMS required.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and AJAX.
- Experience with PHP, Java and SQL an asset.
- Experience with SEO and Google Analytics preferred.

Call for Fashion Designers
On March 4, 2010 Balanche Communication & Events will be launching “BRIGHT
NIGHT - Dining & Fashion in the Dark” at O.Noir to raise funds for the
Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
We are inviting designers to create garments for visually impaired people
by incorporating their interpretation of Braille, or incorporating
textured garments in their collection.
Participation Details
• Each designer may submit up to 4 pieces.
• All garment concepts & illustrations must be submitted by January 11,
2010.
• All garments must be produced by February 12th, 2010.
